Cargo Vintage Escape Eyeshadow Palette Swatches and Reviews!

Well hellow there lovelie's!

I was quite unfamilliar with the brand Cargo, I had a few lip products but i never had any of the eyeshadow's and i have to admit i was incredibly impressed!
First of all i love the packaging, the brown leather is quite unusual but i love the simplicity of it! it also has a magnetic close at the front which makes it very easy to travel with.

Secondly i think they got the variety of colour's just right in this palette! it is versatile and you can create a wide range of looks from a light daytime look to a smokey eye with ease. There are also a couple of strange colour's in this palette opposed to Naked by Urban Decay such as "Withered leaves" and "Autumn" the green is absolutely wonderful and is a perfect colour if you just want something different without being to daring and "autumn" is a great colour to blend into the crease with.

The palette comes with a dual ended brush, the angle brush is easy to create a liner with and the fluffier shadow brush is soft and blends lovely.

The quality of the eyeshadow's are incredibly good!
They are extremely pigmented (All except "black crow" that is the only colour that does not have the same colour pay off)
The shadow's are buttery and blend like a dream.

There are 4 matte colour's in the palette
"Hot Cocoa" - A light brown/taupe
"Autum" - A kind of brick/brown colour
"Black Crow"- A simple black
"Chesnut" - A rich dark brown/purple

There are 8 shimmer/glitter shades
"Harvest moon" - A sheer light shimmer
"Crisp"- A glittery champagne
"Cuddle"- A light shimmery pink
"Frolic" - Almost metallic taupe
"Cinnamon" - Again almost metallic gold/copper
"Twigs" - A mid blue shimmer
"Withered leaves" - A lovely light forest green
"Rustic" - a rich copper/red/brown shade

I used "Crisp"all over the lid with "Autumn" and "Hot Cocoa through the crease
"Harvest Moon" as a highlight and "Chesnut" as the eyeliner
Simple and pretty (:

I used "Chesnut" all over the lid and along the bottom lash line with "Black Crow" through the outer crease and "Autumn" throughout the crease.

Overall i am incredibly impressed with this palette and keep on finding looks from it.
For the price i think it is worth it if you are looking for something new, I have seen them vary from £15-£30

The Balm. Nude Tude Palette Review

O

Firstly i really love the packaging! its unique and fun (:

From left to right on the top row of swatches :-
Sassy - A shimmery white
Snobby - A more matte yellow toned slightly peach colour (unique but beautiful)
Stubborn - A dusty pink shade with a little shimmer

Second row :-
Stand-offish - A Shimmery pink/peach (A little darker than Urban Decay's Sin)
Selfish -A shimmery cool toned taupe (Similar to MAC's Satin Taupe)
Sultry- A medium brown matte shade (Similar to buck by Urban Decay)

Top row :-
Sophisticated - A dark warm under toned brown with gold shimmer (Similar to DarkHorse by UrbanDecay)
Seductive- A warm gold shade which changes with orange/peach under tones with the light (Similar to Woodwinked by MAC)
Sexy- A matte warm red plum shade

Second Row :-
Silly- A dark Purple/brown with flecks of gold glitter
Serious- A cool/blue under toned black shade
Sleek- A more warm/brown under toned black

The eyeshadow's are buttery and smooth and the pigmentation is great! the colour payoff is lovely and they blend very well.
I love the variety in this palette, it's a little different to most neutral palettes with Sexy and Snobby being quite unusual colour's. Its got a bit of everything you need for a light daytime look to a dark and sexy evening look. It has a mixture of warm and cool toned shadows that will work for everyone.
.
The obvious comparison to make with this palette is with the naked palette by Urban Decay.
I do prefer the formulation of Urban Decay's Eyeshadow's compared to NudeTude as they are slightly more smooth thanThe Balm's.
The Palettes are roughly the same size and both are very durable, NudeTude is thinner and more compact as well as having the cute pin up design that makes it stand out compared to the simpleness of the Naked Palette. Both also have long mirrors in the lid that will always come in handy when travelling.
You do get a small duel ended brush in NudeTude which is nice but compared to the full size Karma brush you get in the Naked Palette alongside the primer potion you also get i'm not sure which would be more of a bargain.
With a price tag of £26 it is a lot cheaper than Urban Decay's Naked being £37

Bare Minerals, Shine On Set!

Ello Ello!
I recently bought the shine on set from www.feelunique.com
The main reason is that it was on sale (we all love a cheeky bargain don't we)
Well anywho! ... i have not been too keen on bareminerals before as i haven't found anything that completely wow's me.

The first impresson that i had of this set of multiple items is that it gives a new customer a little of everything to try out! .. Plus the case is super shiny and gold and slightly on the chunky side!

So in the set you get two eye shadows, one being a light shimmery pink called Glitterati that has a gold undertone in it which is beautiful. the second is a deep plum/purple matte shade called Center Stage. Both are extremely pigmented and very long lasting, even without the primer!

In the picture you can see the shimmer from Glitterani next to the lip gloss
Center stage however comes off a bit dark in the picture where its actually a little more purple but you can see the pigmentation from one swatch with the finger!

You can see the purple/plum a bit better in this image.

On the left you have the blush in this palette which is a very muted light pink again with gold shimmer. Its called "the big break" and is a nice daytime blush, it gives you just a little colour without being too over the top as well as being a nice highlighter!
However it wouldn't work well for a strong evening look.

On the right you have the Marvelous Moxie lipgloss in the colour A-lister
Its a lovely nude/everyday colour that just gives you enough colour and shine without standing out too much,
it has a mint taste to it and that tingly lip sensation when you have plumping glosses which can put some people off. It does however stay for a long time, is not tacky and is very versatile.

On the bottom is the Round the clock waterproof eyeliner in 4pm
its a lovely dark purple which is a nice change to a generic black. It however is not an in your face purple and would really bring out green eyes! .. even blue would pop and it would also look lovely on brown eyes too!
It really doesnt budge and lasts all day, its very creamy and i love it!

The last things in the kit are a little blush brush which is soft, and a sponge applicator that is somewhat useless for eyeshadow but perfect for smoking eyeliner out.

You get a Primetime eyelid primer in the kit which is very good and is up to par with other eyelid primers out, particularly urban decays primer potion.

All in all i quite like the set, the packaging is a smidge bulky for my taste and feels a bit flimsy.
The gold sparkly make up bag you also receive in the kit is a nice bonus that i'm sure my niece will adore! It again is not to my taste as it's a little too sparkly but if ever i need another make up bag i have one!

I paid £19.50 for the kit and i have to say that was a fair price! however it was on sale

(Ps.Sorry for my pale hands :P)
