My favourite lipstick's from the drugstore swatches and review's!

I was organizing my make up and thought i would do a my favourite's post on the many many lipsticks i own! (mainly from the drugstore)

Red's

Going from left to right for the swatches:

MUA LUXE- Reckless ... A deep dark red liquid lipstick that sets to a matte finish that feels creamy and lasts a long time, however i have found that one layer is perfect and if you layer more it tends to stick together and end up looking awful £3

Urban Decay Super Saturated High Gloss Color - Theodora ... The high end red i put in here because it is one of my favourite red's of all time (Alongside the Urban Decay lip liner in "Mrs Mia Wallace") it glides on beautifully with beautiful colour pay off, it is very glossy and wears very well £14

Barry M Loud Mouth Extreme Lip Colour - Tease ... A product i assume to be similar to OCC Lip Tar's and is a lovely vibrant red. The product on it's own however feels a bit slippery if that makes sense haha but used on a brush on top of another red lipstick or a lip liner it beings a bit of shine and an intense colour £4

Elf Matte Lip Color - (No Name) ...A not so creamy matte lipstick, not as dark as the other reds but the staying power is very good and the smell it has is very potently mint which i like £2-£3

Beauty UK - Vampire ... Slightly matte dark red that is wonderful for the price of £3.49

Boujois Deluxe - Prohibiton 01 ... Creamy medium red, it wear lovely with a red lip liner but sometimes becomes smudgy without one underneath £7-£8

Maybeline New York - 530 Fatal Red... A lovely orange toned red lovely for the summer. Glides on beautifully and makes my lips feels moisturized and doesn't dry out £6.99

Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate - 107 ...A beautiful dark red matte lipstick. Smooth and even and lasts all day without needing too much attention and topping up £5.49

Maybeline - Passion Red 535 ... A moisturizing classic red that i have loved for a long time
£5-£7

MUA LUXE - Halcyon ... A liquid Lipstick that sets to a lovely matte finish, Perfect for a better than your colour lip's that look more defined and last all day! £3

YSL Rouge Volupte - (Unsure on the name) The most perfect peach nude colour ... Honestly in love with this lipstick!  the pigmentation is amazing, its moisturizing and lasts for hours £26

Boujois Rouge Edition -Corail En Vogue .. A more sheer coral/peach shade, perfect for a light pop of colour thats not too intense £6-£8

ELF Matte Lip Colour - Coral ... a lovely peachy brown,  a kind of Kylie Jenner colour that lasts all day and has the minty scent £2-£3

Revlon Matte - Pink Pout ... A more pink nude that i have that is quite and unusual shade that adds a bit of colour but nothing too bright £7.49

Revolution -When you came to me ... A new brand to me but pleasantly surprised at the quality and pigmentation of this lipstick. Another better than your own lip colour shade that goes on smoothly and stays quite well £3

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate - 03 ... The most brown nude shade i own that makes an ombre lip with "soar" from Mac and a little bit of a lighter shade in the middle look lovely! Smooth and blendable  £5.49

Beauty UK - Son of a peach ... A very pigmented light pink matte shade £3.49

MUA - Barely There ... A very light nude shade that glides on lovely, possibly a little bit light of its own but mixed as a highlight in the middle of lips it adds dimension and blends beautifully £1

Maybeline Color sensational - Sultry Sand ... similar to the MUA colour that it blends into deeper colours making lips look fuller and ombre £6.99

Pink's And Purple's

MUA Luxe - Criminal ... Words cannot describe how impressed and amazed i am by this colour! the pigmentation and staying power is incredibly impressive! It's so bright and wonderful for vibrant looks and it's only £3

Avon - Vixen ... a deep burgundy/purple shade that is moisturizing and rich in colour £8

Maybeline color sensational -plum passion ... A lovely medium purple shade that is vibrant but not too intense and perfect for a pop of colour £6.99

Loreal Caresse - Lovely Rose ... A light pink sheer lipstick that moisturizes and adds a glossy shine £5-£8

LAQA&CO - unsure of name - A glossy blue toned purple shade that is slightly sheer £10

Maybeline color sensational - Power peony ...  A lovely blue toned pink that is a quite a different colour that adds a bit of fun to a look £6.99

Rimmel - Indulgence ... A creamy bright pink that is slightly matte and lasts for hours that applies smoothly £5.49

Beauty UK - Plumalicious ... A deep plum shade perfect for the winter and on a night out for a vampy look. Applies evenly and smoothly with good lasting power £3.49

Barbera Daly - Crimson ... A lovely smooth medium bright pink that's more wearable with a very premium feel to it that lasts a long time and looks lovely £5-£10

So these are my favourite shades at the moment with quite a few very cheap options in the mix and new products that i have been incredibly impressed with!
I plan to put up a high end favourites and see if there are many dupes i have in my collection for cheaper alternatives.
Hopefully you find this post helpful in selecting lipsticks or looking to swatches in case you plan to buy a particular one but either way please let me know and leave any suggestions for looks, reviews or posts you would like to see in the future!

Cargo Vintage Escape Eyeshadow Palette Swatches and Reviews!

Well hellow there lovelie's!

I was quite unfamilliar with the brand Cargo, I had a few lip products but i never had any of the eyeshadow's and i have to admit i was incredibly impressed!
First of all i love the packaging, the brown leather is quite unusual but i love the simplicity of it! it also has a magnetic close at the front which makes it very easy to travel with.

Secondly i think they got the variety of colour's just right in this palette! it is versatile and you can create a wide range of looks from a light daytime look to a smokey eye with ease. There are also a couple of strange colour's in this palette opposed to Naked by Urban Decay such as "Withered leaves" and "Autumn" the green is absolutely wonderful and is a perfect colour if you just want something different without being to daring and "autumn" is a great colour to blend into the crease with.

The palette comes with a dual ended brush, the angle brush is easy to create a liner with and the fluffier shadow brush is soft and blends lovely.

The quality of the eyeshadow's are incredibly good!
They are extremely pigmented (All except "black crow" that is the only colour that does not have the same colour pay off)
The shadow's are buttery and blend like a dream.

There are 4 matte colour's in the palette
"Hot Cocoa" - A light brown/taupe
"Autum" - A kind of brick/brown colour
"Black Crow"- A simple black
"Chesnut" - A rich dark brown/purple

There are 8 shimmer/glitter shades
"Harvest moon" - A sheer light shimmer
"Crisp"- A glittery champagne
"Cuddle"- A light shimmery pink
"Frolic" - Almost metallic taupe
"Cinnamon" - Again almost metallic gold/copper
"Twigs" - A mid blue shimmer
"Withered leaves" - A lovely light forest green
"Rustic" - a rich copper/red/brown shade

I used "Crisp"all over the lid with "Autumn" and "Hot Cocoa through the crease
"Harvest Moon" as a highlight and "Chesnut" as the eyeliner
Simple and pretty (:

I used "Chesnut" all over the lid and along the bottom lash line with "Black Crow" through the outer crease and "Autumn" throughout the crease.

Overall i am incredibly impressed with this palette and keep on finding looks from it.
For the price i think it is worth it if you are looking for something new, I have seen them vary from £15-£30

Too Faced Eye Shadow Insurance Policy Swatches & Review

Heya!
I was extremely surprised with this palette as i have had some too faced products before and i was never a fan of the eye shadow formulation until this palette!
I found this is Tk maxx and i think it was something stupid like £10 but the main reason i bought it was for the shadow insurance primer that comes with it which is very good too (:
The eyeshadow's are amazing! they're buttery and vivid and stay gorgeous all day long.

Full frontal - A shimmery purple/brown
Glamazon - A shimmery taupe/grey/pink

Socialite - A coppery/red brown
Boy toy - A light shimmery baby pink

Skinny dip - A dark shimmery gorgeous blue
Lucky Charms - A lovely shimmery green thats not too vibrant

I love the variety of colour's in this palette and how smooth they all are
Although i would have preferred a matte shade in there somewhere it is only a small palette and because i love it so much i can ignore that :P

Urban Decay Anniversary Palette Swatches & Review!

Hey There!
So i bought this ... AGES ago .. i absolutely love it to death!
Its a very unique palette, its fun and great if you're feeling creative (:

The top of my palette kinda got all strange (i spilled water on it and it got under the gems) i really don't know what happened haha! But all of the eyeshadow's are still perfect (:

Most of the colour's are very wearable. There are a lot of neutrals but they're not the usual neutral tones you would expect to see which is why i love this palette so much

Midnight Rodeo - A gorgeous light brown taupe colour, it does have large flecks of glitter that are notorious with all of the midnight shades from urban decay that often cause a bit of fall out.

Tainted - A pale pink with a slight opalescent shimmer in it making it not quite a matte with an unusual white/blue undertone.

Deeper - My favourite colour out of the palette as its a gorgeous gold/brown.

Midnight 15 - Again a chunky glitter one but it doesn't have as much as midnight rodeo, its a light champagne/slightly pink colour.

Junkshow - A very hot pink matte shade.

M.I.A - A beautiful dark warm toned brown.

Vanilla - A gold/cream shade that's very shimmery.

Omen - a lovely almost duo chrome shade that looks purple but reflects more of a blue colour.

Ace - I'm not sure how to describe this colour other than it being a grey colour with some blue/green (like oil almost) it's a stunning eyeshadow!

Flow - A light peach/pink highlight colour.

Evidence - A rich deep blue shade.

Blackout - A matte black.

Chase - A peachy gold shimmery shade.

Deep end - A gorgeous aquamarine/blue/green colour.

Half truth - A pretty darker purple again with some blue reflect in it.

All of the eyeshadow's are creamy and lovely to work with, they all blend like a dream and the amount of looks you can create with this palette is endless.
The packaging is safe and sturdy and i've travelled with it a lot.
The packaging also turns into a trinket box as the eyeshadow sleeve can be taken out.

I really love this palette and if Urban Decay do re promote it one day i would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes to try out different things and experiment a bit with their make up!

The Balm. Nude Tude Palette Review

O

Firstly i really love the packaging! its unique and fun (:

From left to right on the top row of swatches :-
Sassy - A shimmery white
Snobby - A more matte yellow toned slightly peach colour (unique but beautiful)
Stubborn - A dusty pink shade with a little shimmer

Second row :-
Stand-offish - A Shimmery pink/peach (A little darker than Urban Decay's Sin)
Selfish -A shimmery cool toned taupe (Similar to MAC's Satin Taupe)
Sultry- A medium brown matte shade (Similar to buck by Urban Decay)

Top row :-
Sophisticated - A dark warm under toned brown with gold shimmer (Similar to DarkHorse by UrbanDecay)
Seductive- A warm gold shade which changes with orange/peach under tones with the light (Similar to Woodwinked by MAC)
Sexy- A matte warm red plum shade

Second Row :-
Silly- A dark Purple/brown with flecks of gold glitter
Serious- A cool/blue under toned black shade
Sleek- A more warm/brown under toned black

The eyeshadow's are buttery and smooth and the pigmentation is great! the colour payoff is lovely and they blend very well.
I love the variety in this palette, it's a little different to most neutral palettes with Sexy and Snobby being quite unusual colour's. Its got a bit of everything you need for a light daytime look to a dark and sexy evening look. It has a mixture of warm and cool toned shadows that will work for everyone.
.
The obvious comparison to make with this palette is with the naked palette by Urban Decay.
I do prefer the formulation of Urban Decay's Eyeshadow's compared to NudeTude as they are slightly more smooth thanThe Balm's.
The Palettes are roughly the same size and both are very durable, NudeTude is thinner and more compact as well as having the cute pin up design that makes it stand out compared to the simpleness of the Naked Palette. Both also have long mirrors in the lid that will always come in handy when travelling.
You do get a small duel ended brush in NudeTude which is nice but compared to the full size Karma brush you get in the Naked Palette alongside the primer potion you also get i'm not sure which would be more of a bargain.
With a price tag of £26 it is a lot cheaper than Urban Decay's Naked being £37

Everyday/Work Make Up

Hello there!
So i thought while i was getting ready for work this evening i would tell you how to do this quick and pretty make up that stays in place for hours!

I generally do this in about 10 minutes tops! It's incredibly easy (:

  • I use a liole triple the solution bb cream instead of a primer because i find my skin is dry and its quite moisturizing whereas primers tend to dry my skin even more, the colour of it  also evens out my skintone and takes out any redness.
  • Recently i've been loving the Chanel vitalumiere aqua as it doesn't give a heavy coverage but gives a lovely dewy finish.
  • I then use "Constructavist" paint pot from MAC as an eyeshadow base (This thing does not smudge all day!)
  • I used MAC's "Antiqued" eyeshadow on top which is a red/warm brown .. very autumnal! and then MAC's "Twinks" in the outer corners of the eyelid to add a bit of depth. I then use a matte white or cream to highlight the brow bone and blend the crease line to make it more smoked out.
  • The eyeshadow is then done .. i move on to use a dark brown eyeliner like MAC's "Teddy" eyeliner or a plum colour like Baremineral's "4pm" to blend nicely with the colours instead of a harsh black line.
  • I then curl my lashes and apply mascara and the one i used today was lancome's "doll eye's" mascara.
  • Then back to the face! ... i found a baked bronzer/blush from Accessorize called "laguna" thats gives a lovely bronze without being too orange as well as a peach shimmer that's lovely! so i lightly apply that to the parts of the face that would naturally catch the sun such as the top of your cheeks, the sides of the forehead etc... i then use a little bit of Nars "laguna" to contour the hollows of my cheeks and some of the mememe liquid highlighter in "sunbeam" to highlight the top of the cheeks.
I then go under the eye with Bobbi Brown's corrector in "Light Peach" to clean up under the eyes and brighten it up a little.

If you wanted to leave it without a lip gloss or lipstick that's fine its versatile look that will look nice with most combinations (:
in this picture though i was wearing the Bareminerals marvelous moxie lip gloss in A-lister

Tada! Done (:
Such a pretty but easy look to do
I hope this helps you if you do want to try it out!

Bare Minerals, Shine On Set!

Ello Ello!
I recently bought the shine on set from www.feelunique.com
The main reason is that it was on sale (we all love a cheeky bargain don't we)
Well anywho! ... i have not been too keen on bareminerals before as i haven't found anything that completely wow's me.

The first impresson that i had of this set of multiple items is that it gives a new customer a little of everything to try out! .. Plus the case is super shiny and gold and slightly on the chunky side!

So in the set you get two eye shadows, one being a light shimmery pink called Glitterati that has a gold undertone in it which is beautiful. the second is a deep plum/purple matte shade called Center Stage. Both are extremely pigmented and very long lasting, even without the primer!

In the picture you can see the shimmer from Glitterani next to the lip gloss
Center stage however comes off a bit dark in the picture where its actually a little more purple but you can see the pigmentation from one swatch with the finger!

You can see the purple/plum a bit better in this image.

On the left you have the blush in this palette which is a very muted light pink again with gold shimmer. Its called "the big break" and is a nice daytime blush, it gives you just a little colour without being too over the top as well as being a nice highlighter!
However it wouldn't work well for a strong evening look.

On the right you have the Marvelous Moxie lipgloss in the colour A-lister
Its a lovely nude/everyday colour that just gives you enough colour and shine without standing out too much,
it has a mint taste to it and that tingly lip sensation when you have plumping glosses which can put some people off. It does however stay for a long time, is not tacky and is very versatile.

On the bottom is the Round the clock waterproof eyeliner in 4pm
its a lovely dark purple which is a nice change to a generic black. It however is not an in your face purple and would really bring out green eyes! .. even blue would pop and it would also look lovely on brown eyes too!
It really doesnt budge and lasts all day, its very creamy and i love it!

The last things in the kit are a little blush brush which is soft, and a sponge applicator that is somewhat useless for eyeshadow but perfect for smoking eyeliner out.

You get a Primetime eyelid primer in the kit which is very good and is up to par with other eyelid primers out, particularly urban decays primer potion.

All in all i quite like the set, the packaging is a smidge bulky for my taste and feels a bit flimsy.
The gold sparkly make up bag you also receive in the kit is a nice bonus that i'm sure my niece will adore! It again is not to my taste as it's a little too sparkly but if ever i need another make up bag i have one!

I paid £19.50 for the kit and i have to say that was a fair price! however it was on sale

(Ps.Sorry for my pale hands :P)
