Wow am i bad at keeping up with this thing! ha

Well, i should probably mention that i had an interview on Wednesday at the Delemar Academy of make up design for film, TV and fashion!
In a nutshell its my dream job.. walking around Ealing Studios made it so real that this is what i want to do with my life. The small hiccup of course being that it is an £18,500 course .. and a student loan doesn't quite cover it which begs the question on how much is it worth to go for your dreams? ... what happens if i end up with a tonne of debt and a job in Tesco's?
Here's the thing i always believed that going after what you want is worth anything as long as you have the drive to do it! So essentially i should just go for it and risk it yeah? hell you only live the once! but it's an awefull lot of money to waste if it amounts to nothing.
What do you lot reckon?

I'll post a few pictures of things i have done make up wise, little projects I've done ... i don't know maybe you all can tell me if I'm worth investing in! :S Cause at this precise moment i have no idea what to do

It would honestly be great to hear what anyone has to say about any of these things (: ... also if you might be interested in finding out how to do them, i might make some tutorials soon! I did get a new camera!!

Naked Pallette Neutral Eye

So i thought for my first post i would use a well known pallette by Urban Decay ... Naked :P
As im sure most of you already know the Naked pallette is the best out there for neutral eyeshadow's as you can create anything you feel like on the neutral scale.
The eyeshadow's themselves are great quality the have great pigmentation, when applied with a primer colours are beautiful and vibrant, however even without a primer the colour is still vibrant it just doesn't last as long.
If anyone asked me what pallette i would most recommend it would be my top choice.
So getting onto this look...
Its a simple look that's good for both day and night (i know in this picture i've got a pretty bold eyeliner going on but that can be replaced for a thinner look during the day.)

  • I used Urban Decay's primer potion in "Sin" all over my lid, this is a shimmery champagne/light pink colour in the Naked pallette itself.
  •  I then applied "Half Baked" (a beautiful shimmery light gold colour)  all over the lid with a large fluffy eyeshadow brush and blended it into the primer to somehwhat set it in place.
  • I then went in with a smaller eyeshadow brush and picked up the lightest colour in the pallette "Virgin" and applied this to the inner crease and under my brow bone to highlight the eyes. When i say highlight the eyes this helps reflect light as these points are where the light would naturally hit so enhancing that makes your eyes look more youthful and awake.
  • I then picked up my crease brush, a small dome shaped brush and used the colour "Naked" (A light taupe matte colour) and applied this to crease of my eye, this adds more depth and definition to the eyes again enhancing what is already there, then using a blending brush to blend out the harsh lines.
  • Once Naked is put into the crease i went over it with the colour "Smog" (a shimmery gold/brown colour) this creates a gradient effect with the colours making the make up appear seamless.
  • For a deeper crease if you would prefer for a night out i would then apply "Darkhorse" (A dark shimmery brown with a slight gold undertone) to the outer v of the crease, this means going up from the natural angle of the eye where you would apply a winged eyeliner and angle it in a v shape to meet the crease, this will enhance the smokiness of the look.
  • I then applied Lancome's artliner to create a bold winged eyeliner and then used Lancome's Hypnose Mascara, However again to use this look for a night out you coul apply false lashes for that extra va va voom
  • For  foundation  i used Lancome's Teint Miracle which i will do a review on soon for you guys and for the powder i used Rimmel's Stay Matte in "Translucent"
  • For blusher i used was accessorize's "Sensation With Love" Merged Baked Blush. These blushes are highly pigmented and give a beautiful glow to the skin as well acting like a highlight for your cheekbones. The colour i used is quite a bright pink but is great because you can build it up so a little goes along way and the smallest amount gives the perfect rosy look.
  •  I contoured with a matte bronzer i picked up from MUA, it is similar to "Naked" in colour and just gives good shadowing in the cheekbones and sides of the nose
  • And for lips i just used a tinted lip balm from superdrug but again you can match this for a night out with a nude lip or a bright

This is quite an easy look and i hope the explanations i gave you were helpful
If you have any suggestions or idea's you would like me to do then please leave a suggestion i'm hoping to get a few tutorials up and it would be good to get some idea's
I'l also be reviewing a few products over the next few days and tell you what i think of them, how much they were and where i got them.
